"Couldn't tell me nothing with my gold diggers on": When Shedeur Sanders' mom Pilar Sanders gave hilarious insights into her fashion choices

Pilar Sanders has been turning heads with her standout fashion choices at Folsom Field, where she cheers on her sons, Shedeur and Shilo Sanders. Her gameday outfits and GRWM (Get Ready With Me) videos, shared on YouTube with her daughter Shelomi, are a hit among fans.

But Pilar’s love for fashion runs deep, and in a Nov. 2017 interview with Panama, she gave a glimpse into the origins of her unique style.

“I’m actually from upstate New York and I’d have to say my sister is a very, VERY large part of why my style is my style … my sister, my aunt, and my mother," Pilar said.

"My aunt was an international model and she’s in the city, in New York, so growing up we would go back and forth there a lot. Wherever she went she’d always send us fashion.”

Panama asked Pilar if she remembered the first time she actually felt good after trying an outfit.

"Oh, I sure can! And they were called, “Gold Diggers” okay! LMAO. They were jeans called, 'Gold Diggers' and they were made with gold shiny thread. No, for real. I am so for real," Pilar replied.

The reporter asking the question at once remembered the outfit Deion’s ex-wife was talking about. A surprised Pilar then said:

"Ok! Oh you couldn’t tell me nothing Panama [the reporter], with my gold diggers on! LOL"

As the 2024 college football season continues, fans will hope to see more of Pilar at Folsom Field and beyond, supporting the Colorado Buffaloes.

Pilar Sanders once never had a stylist

Pilar Sanders shared her thoughts on fashion and stylists in the same interview. While her enviable sense of style turns heads every now and then, she hilariously said she’s never had a stylist.

“I always want one, but it never ends up happening,” Pilar said, adding that she’s free-spirited with her wardrobe choices.

As she comes from a modeling background, Pilar pushes the boundaries. She doesn’t stress whether her outfit suits the occasion perfectly.

“I don’t really get hung up on if everything is perfect or is it absolutely appropriate for this venue, which is probably why I really do need a stylist, LOL,” Pilar said.

For Pilar Sanders, it’s all about confidence and wearing what feels right.
