The Colorado Buffaloes' three-game winning streak since the devastating Week 2 loss against the Nebraska Cornhuskers came to an end last week when the No. 17 Kansas State Wildcats beat them 31-28 in Week 8 of college football action.
The loss would sting Deion Sanders' program more since there were some injuries sustained to star players during the game.
Colorado football injury report
At the post-game press conference, Deion Sanders shared the status of some players for the team's upcoming game against Arizona.
1. Travis Hunter
Two-way star and Heisman candidate Travis Hunter left the game due to an apparent shoulder injury in the second quarter and didn't return to the field. However, Coach Prime confirmed that Hunter would return for the next game.
"Travis should play for certain on Saturday," Sanders said.
Hunter took a hit on his right shoulder from Wildcats safety Daniel Cobbs' helmet after he caught a 14-yard pass. Hunter is the biggest receiving threat on the Buffs team, leading Colorado with 49 catches for 587 yards. His absence in the second half played a major part in Colorado's loss.
2. Jimmy Horn Jr.
Just two plays before Travis Hunter went down with an injury, wide receiver Jimmy Horn Jr. suffered a hit following his 12-yard catch. Like Hunter, he also never returned to the game, leaving quarterback Shedeur Sanders shorthanded.
Horn, suffering from an apparent ankle injury, should be available for the game against Arizona, according to Deion Sanders. Horn is Colorado's second-leading wide receiver with 26 catches for 347 yards.
"Certainly, losing Travis and Jimmy and others was tremendous because they're a vital part of our team, a vital part of our identity," Sanders said after the game. "They're a vital part of who we are. So that took a blow. That took a lot out of us."
3. Omarion Miller
The wide receiver, who is in his sophomore season, suffered a lower body injury that will sideline him for the rest of the season. After taking a hip-drop tackle that hurt him on the legs, Omarion Miller was helped off the field in the fourth quarter.
Over the last few games, Miller was gaining momentum, but it seems he'll have to start over again next season.
4. Terrell Timothy
Deion Sanders said the wide receiver will also miss the next game against Arizona with no injury specified.
