Quarterback Jalen Milroe proved that he and his team can fit into DeBoer's offense-heavy style. Milroe did not play much in Bama's win, but his dominance was seen. He went 7 for 9, throwing for 200 yards and scoring three TDs. He was also strong on his feet, rushing for 79 yards from 10 carries and scoring two touchdowns.
The Bulls also have a strong offense, led by returning QB Byrum Brown. In 2023, he threw for over 3000 yards and started his tally for 2024 in the win over Bethune-Cookman last week, throwing for 152 yards. South Florida also has a talented pair of running backs Kelly Joiner and Nay'Quan Wright, who combined for three touchdowns in last weekend's win.
What could let South Florida down is its defense. Last year, it had one of the worst in college football, allowing 32 points per game on average. Bethune-Cookman was not able to break through this defense, but Alabama is likely to.
