The Clemson Tigers have gotten off to a strong start to the 2024 college football season as they are sitting at 3-1, including a 2-0 mark in ACC play, and ranked No. 15 in the nation. After suffering an embarrassing blowout loss to the then-No. 1 Georgia Bulldogs in their season opener, Clemson has responded in emphatic fashion.

They have since blown out the Appalachian State Mountaineers, NC State Wolfpack and Stanford Cardinal, outscoring their opponents 165-69 in the process. The Tigers are set to continue their season when they travel to Tallahassee to take on the struggling Florida State Seminoles at Doak Campbell Stadium on Saturday.

While this game was expected to have ACC Conference Championship and College Football Playoff implications, the Seminoles are just 1-4 and appear unlikely to even earn bowl eligibility.

Here's a closer look at three reasons why Clemson can beat Florida State in Week 6.

3 reasons why Clemson Tigers could beat Florida State Seminoles in Week 6

#1. Clemson Tigers' offense has looked elite

Clemson's offense was putrid in Week 1 as they finished with just three points. Despite the poor start to the season, they have averaged 42.0 points per game and 457.0 yards per game, ranking No. 14 and No. 30 in the nation, respectively. Clemson has averaged 55.0 ppg and 546.7 ypg over their past three games. They appear to have figured things out and are clicking on all cylinders heading into Week 6.

#2. Florida State Seminoles have one of the worst offenses in the nation

Florida State's offense has been bad over their first five games of the season. They have averaged just 15.2 ppg and 278.2 ypg, ranking No. 126 and No. 125 out of 134 qualified teams, respectively.

Additionally, quarterback DJ Uiagalelei will be sidelined with a broken finger. While he has not played well, backup Brock Glenn showed next to nothing in two starts in place of an injured Jordan Travis last season. He also struggled when replacing Uiagalelei in Week 5.

#3. Clemson's defense has been great at creating turnovers

The Clemson Tigers' defense has been great at forcing turnovers this season. While they failed to record a turnover in their season-opening loss, they have three takeaways in each of their past three games. Meanwhile, Florida State has been prone to turning the ball over, having done so eight times this season.
