The college football season is in full swing as the calendar turns to Week 3. The Big 12 has largely played well in the early stages of the season as the conference has a combined 24-8 record. The Big 12 also has five teams ranked in the top 21 of the latest rendition of the AP Top 25 Poll.

While there has only been one conference matchup to this point–- a meeting between the Utah Utes and Baylor Bears last weekend – there will be two more in Week 3, including a ranked matchup between the No. 14 Kansas State Wildcats and No. 20 Arizona Wildcats. Additionally, 15 of the 16 teams will be in action, with the No. 21 Iowa State Cyclones the lone team with a bye this week.

3 Big 12 wide receivers to watch out for in Week 3 of 2024 college football season

#1. Travis Hunter

Travis Hunter initially joined the Jackson State Tigers as a five-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class before joining the Colorado Buffaloes via the transfer portal ahead of the 2023 season. The two-way star has shined on both sides of the football in his brief collegiate career so far.

Hunter has gotten off to a strong start in 2024, recording 242 receiving yards and three touchdowns on 17 receptions. Look for him to continue to play well in Week 3 against the Colorado State Rams.

#2. Tetairoa McMillan

Tetairoa McMillan joined the Arizona Wildcats as a four-star prospect in the 2022 recruiting class. He played great in his first two seasons of college football and has played well in the early portion of 2024 so far. McMillan has caught 12 passes for 315 yards and four touchdowns in the first two games. If Arizona can go on the road and knock off the Kansas State Wildcats, he will likely need another big game to get them over the line.

#3. Josh Kelly

Josh Kelly initially joined the Fresno State Bulldogs as a three-star prospect in the 2019 recruiting class. After four seasons, he joined the Washington State Cougars via the transfer portal ahead of the 2023 season before joining the Texas Tech Red Raiders over the summer. Kelly has hauled in 19 passes for 351 yards and one touchdown.
