Jaxson Dart NFL Draft Projection

Quarterbacks are always in demand at the next level. While the six-foot-two Dart is more of an RPO guy than a traditional dropback passer, his mobility and big-play skills will intrigue NFL teams. He will be in the 2025 NFL Draft, and most projections show Dart going as a mid-first round to second round pick.

Of course, recent drafts have often featured QBs with similar projections going even higher than expected. Again, the need at the position is a key situation. It only takes one team to fall in love with Dart to jump his draft stock.

Five possible NFL Draft landing spots for Jaxson Dart

#5 Las Vegas Raiders

No surprises here. The Raiders are a QB-poor franchise, stuck trying to cobble together possibilities into a QB reality.

Dart could easily be an attractive option for the Raiders. Gardner Minshew isn't going to last long with the Raiders and Dart would present an intruging run-pass possibility for the offensively needs Raiders.

#4 New York Giants

Daniel Jones is not the ultimate answer in New York. Dart could make a solid pickup.

While New York is building up depth at multiple positions, a dual-threat QB could be extra intriguing. Meanwhile, Dart could have success with Malik Nabors and Wandale Robinson in New York.

#3 New York Jets

New York's other team could use a QB. Aaron Rodgers looks very, very old, so Dart could be an option in waiting while the veteran finishes his career. Allen Lazard and Garrett Wilson are credible receivers, and Dart's run and pass abilities could play well for the Jets.

#2 Cleveland Browns

Whatever comes out of the latest controversey around Deshaun Watson, it seems likely that he's not a wise long-term option for the Browns.

A new start could lie with Dart. After all, jump-starting Ole Miss in the SEC has been almost as unlikely as getting the Browns into a deep playoff run. Dart could be the guy for the task.

#1 Pittsburgh Steelers

The Justin Fields situation seems pretty tenous. If Pittsburgh decides to go with a QB who is capable of a more traditional offense, Dart could be the guy. The Steelers are closer to post-season competitiveness than most of the teams on this list. Dart could be a bit of a long-shot, but stranger things have happened.
