Iowa State vs. Iowa prediction

The Iowa Hawkeyes have the more complete team and were able to showcase that in Week 1. With quarterback Cade McNamara healthy and looking impressive in his first game of the season, Iowa's offense is just on a completely different level than they were in the latter half of the 2023 season.

The Hawkeyes have a dominant defensive program that should slow down Iowa State's offense. Iowa allowed just 12 total first downs in Week 1 and forced three turnovers. While the Cyclones should be more competitive, Iowa should dominate in this game defensively.

However, as with many rivalry games, expect this to be close, but the Hawkeyes should take control late to win the game and cover the spread.
