The Florida State Seminoles (1-3) have had a disappointing start to the 2024 college football season. Nonetheless, Mike Norvell's team got its first win of the season in Week 4, beating the California Golden Bears 14-9 at Doak S. Campbell Stadium last Saturday.

Now, fans want to know when the Seminoles will be in action next and whether they will play in Week 5.

Does Florida State play today?

Florida State will be in action later today. The Seminoles will take on the SMU Mustangs (3-1) in Week 5 on Saturday.

The FSU vs. SMU clash will kick off at 8 p.m. EDT from Gerald J. Ford Stadium in Dallas, Texas. The game will be broadcast live on ACC Network, where Wes Durham (play-by-play) and Tom Luginbill (analysis) will be on the call while Dana Boyle will report from the sidelines. Fans without cable access can live stream the game on Fubo.

Ahead of the trip to SMU, Florida State coach Mike Norvell spoke about returning to his native Texas.

“I’ve got a lot of respect for the coaching staff, the team (SMU),” Norvell said. “It’s a lot of new faces from when I coached against them at previous places, but it’s a good football team. They’ve got explosive playmakers. They’ve got a dynamic quarterback. I think one of the best tight ends we’ve played against.

“They’ve got guys, you get them the ball in space, they can make things happen. Defensively, they’re going to be very aggressive in what they do. This is a team that can present a lot of challenges.”

DJ Uiagalelei will start as FSU's quarterback for the Week 5 game.
