The Big 12 could be looking to expand even more. The conference was active in conference realignment landing schools like Colorado, Utah, Arizona and others over the past two years.

Although college football realignment looked like it was in the rearview mirror, insider Greg Swaim reported that the Big 12 could look to expand up to 24 teams.

If Brett Yormark wants more schools to join the Big 12, here are three likely schools to join the conference.

3 schools that can join Brett Yormark's Big 12

#1, Washington State

The Washington State Cougars could join a conference soon as they are one of two teams left in the decimated Pac-12.

Washington State is still a good football team that could be ranked in the top 25, so adding it to the conference is better. With the Pac-12 down to two schools, the Cougars would likely jump at the chance to join a premier conference.

#2, Oregon State

The Oregon State Beavers, like the Washington State Cougars, were left behind in college football realignment but would be a logical addition to the Big 12.

Adding the two remaining Pac-12 schools, the Big 12 would add more schools to the West Coast to bring in viewership. They can also stagger games on TV to help out their media rights deals.

Oregon State and Washington State are likely a package deal, and the two going to the Big 12 makes a lot of sense.

#3, Clemson

The Clemson Tigers are suing the Atlantic Coast Conference as the school looks to leave the conference.

If Clemson does leave the ACC, which it can't for at least the next two seasons, the SEC, Big Ten and Big 12 would be interested in the school.

Clemson is one of the biggest schools in college football, so it would be a major addition for the Big 12 to get a top school like Clemson. But, whether or not the Tigers can even get out of the ACC remains to be seen.
