Paige Bueckers' latest collaboration invites people to witness the role sports plays in the world. The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the UConn Huskies star partnered for a unique video, showcasing Bueckers dribbling all over the museum during its after-hours.
The video promotes the "Get in the Game" exhibition at the facility from Oct. 19 to Feb. 18. It is an amalgamation of design, stories, sculptures and painting that showcases the impact of sports on contemporary culture.
Some of the athletes featured in the works will be swimmer Diana Nyad, Billie Jean King in the iconic “Battle of the Sexes” game and Kobe Bryant’s steps to becoming a NBA superstar and global icon.
The exhibition will be set in a way that visitors will get to choose the beginning and ending of their experience. Gabriel Orozco’s playable Ping Pong Table will also be showcased, allowing spectators to enter the game. Some of the pieces might not be present throughout the duration of the exhibition.
There will also be a segment dedicated to fans, focusing on the drama and roller coaster of emotions that they experience while witnessing their preferred sport.
