The UConn Huskies' latest Instagram post features Paige Bueckers, Azzi Fudd, Kaitlyn Chen, Geno Auriemma and other cast members. The brief video provided glimpses of the competitive spirit and chemistry among the roster.
"We had a great first day," the post read.
Fans took to Instagram to share their happiness at seeing some of their favorites back for the new season. Some of the fans showcased their happiness to witness a healthy Azzi Fudd back on the roster.
Fudd experienced an ACL and a medial meniscal tear on her right knee during practice in November 2023. The injuries ruled her out for the entire 2023-24 season.
"Strong knees this season I beg," a fan wrote.
"Azzi!!! It's so great to see her shooting again 😍," another fan commented.
"Y’ALL DON’T UNDERSTAND THE PERSON I WILL BECOME WHEN AZZI FUDD GETS BACK ON THE COURT AGAIN," another fan wrote.
With Fudd back in practice, some fans highlighted their expectations to witness the connection between her and Paige Bueckers:

Paige Bueckers attended various sporting events over the summer
Days after the UConn Huskies lost to the Iowa Hawkeyes in the Final Four on April 6, Bueckers attended one of the Miami Heat's games.
Bueckers was spotted at various games across leagues, from MLB, WNBA, NBA and NFL to the the tennis grand slam, the U.S. Open. However, it seemed like her 'world tour' had come to a halt when UConn Huskies playfully summoned Bueckers to campus at the start of September.
This occured after Bueckers attended a Connecticut Sun game, traveled to New York to workout with Stephen Curry and Jaylen Brown and attended the New York Liberty game in Big Apple next to Klay Thompson over the course of a weekend.
The UConn star was at Los Angeles' SoFi Stadium last weekend, attending the game between the Chiefs and LA Chargers.
