Kiyan Anthony has emerged as one of the most talented recruits in the class of 2025. The 17-year-old combo guard has captured fans' hearts, showcasing signs of his father Carmelo Anthony's sharpshooting skills in his game. Overtime captured the high schooler's stints to showcase the same last year through the "Evolution" series.

That said, during one of the bonding sessions between the father-son duo, a picture shot in March 2007 got Melo talking. The former New York Knicks star reflected on the memories sparked by the picture in his pool room.

"We had a photoshoot for him when he was born and came home," Anthony said.
"And it was like the first time that I held him like that. Changed my life. Changed perspective. Changed everything. So now, 16 years later, we here playing pool," he added. (12:37)

As the two reminisced about their days, Carmelo Anthony highlighted Kiyan's curiosity about baseball and football as a kid.

Nevertheless, as soon as Melo emphasized his desire to make the most of Kiyan Anthony's growth, he directed the focus back to the ongoing pool game with some trash talk.

One of the biggest reasons for the massive fan following behind the father-son duo is their constant support for each other. A glimpse of the same came when Kiyan Anthony pursued his desire to start a clothing business in February 2023.

Initially unable to market and organize events, Anthony took months to build the 'One Way' brand. Despite Carmelo Anthony's inclination to offer his resources, he allowed the youngster to approach the business in his own way.

Moreover, when Kiyan organized his first-ever pop-up shop in mid-summer, Melo made sure to stop by the Essex venue and help retain the crowd with his presence.

Similarly, when fans questioned Carmelo Anthony's early retirement from the NBA last May, Kiyan endorsed his father's decision. Moreover, he was thrilled at the idea of having his father around on the sidelines and in huddles during his games.
