Andrew Fischer has committed to Tennessee after one season at Ole Miss, the infielder announced on Tuesday. The third-baseman is one of the most sought-after players in college baseball, and coach Tony Vitello's Volunteers have made some key moves in the offseason to defend their national title.

Fischer was born on May 25, 2004, in Manasquan, New Jersey, to parents Brian and Kristen Fischer. He has a sister named Julia.

Fisher attended Wall Township High School, where he took a liking to baseball. He honed his skills across four years and earned selections in the 2021 and 2022 NJ All-Star games and the Carpenter Cup. He stands at 6-foot-1 and weighs 205 pounds, per the Rebels website. At Ole Miss, he was majoring in sports and recreation administration.

After an impressive high school career, Fischer committed to Duke for the 2023 season. Following one season with the Blue Devils, he transferred to Ole Miss for the 2024 season.

On Tuesday, Fischer announced his commitment to Tennessee, where he will play under coach Vitello for the 2025 season.

In his freshman year at Duke, Andrew Fischer smashed 11 home runs, breaking the program's record for the most homers in a single season. He also scored 38 runs and produced 50 hits while posting a .289 average at the plate, earning a selection into the All-ACC Freshman Team.

During his sophomore year at Ole Miss, Fischer led the team with 59 hits, 57 RBIs and 20 home runs. He also finished second on the team with 47 runs across 181 at-bats and a .282 batting average. He earned a selection in the 2024 Second Team All-SEC.

Fischer will head to Tennessee on the back of a solid reputation across two seasons in college baseball. He can also be used as a designated hitter.

The Vols will be glad to have a versatile player on their roster. Tony Vitello's team will aim to make a few more recruits to bolster its core in the offseason.
