Since college baseball's NCAA title solution has shifted to a 64-team NCAA Tournament in 1999, the sports has generally featured a pretty consistent change-up at the top of the sport. No team has topped three titles since 1999 and almost half of the champions have won only once. Here's the rundown on college baseball's NCAA title winners since the current era began in 1999.

3) LSU, Oregon State

The LSU Tigers have a total of seven NCAA titles, second only to USC in the history of the College World Series. While four of those titles pre-date 1999, LSU has continued its excellence in the modern era. The Tigers have won titles with a trio of different coaches. Skip Bertman won his final title in 2000. Paul Maineri won one in 2009 and then Jay Johnson won the 2023 title.

Oregon State, on the other hand, had only been to the College World Series once before Pat Casey took over in 1995. Casey won a trio of titles with the Beavers, picking up back-to-back titles in 2006 and 2007 and then adding a third title in his final season of 2018.

2) Miami, South Carolina, Texas, Vanderbilt

Miami won the first 64-team tournament back in 1999, and was actually the last overall No. 1 seed to win the series before Tennessee in 2024. Jim Morris won a second title with the Hurricanes in 2001.

South Carolina picked up back-to-back titles in 2010 and 2011. Ray Tanner was at the helm for both titles, but retired soon thereafter to become Carolina's athletic director.

Legendary Texas coach Augie Guerrido won a pair of College World Series titles. The Horns claimed NCAA titles in 2002 and 2005.

Vanderbilt had never been to the College World Series before Tim Corbin became their coach in 2003. Corbin led the Commodores to a pair of NCAA titles in 2014 and 2019.

1) Arizona, Cal State Fullerton, Coastal Carolina, Florida, Fresno State, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Rice, Tennessee, UCLA, Virginia

Most of the champions of the 2000s were multi-title winners. But Rice snuck through with the 2003 NCAA title and Fresno State nabbed the 2008 championship while Cal State Fullerton added a 2004 crown.

In the 2010s, one-time winners became more common. While Arizona claimed the school's fourth crown in 2012, UCLA (2013), Virginia (2015), Coastal Carolina (2016) and Florida (2017) all won their first titles.

The 2020s have added both Mississippi schools to the ledger. Mississippi State won in 2021 and Ole Miss won in 2022. Tennessee, of course, won the school's first NCAA title in 2024.
