Tom Platz is an American former professional bodybuilder best known for his leg development. He retired from professional bodybuilding in 1987 and made a 'Comeback' in 1995, when he was awarded an Honorary AAU Mr. America title.

Platz attended Wayne State University and Michigan State University, where he completed his Masters in Fitness Science, Bachelors in Science Physiology and Nutrition. He also has a Masters in Business Administration from the University of California.

After two unsuccessful marriages, Platz married Cha Nikito-Platz in 2000. They have been together for 24 years now. She has worked as a life coach, manager, and is a retired doctor.

"I never had kids. I think about it from time to time now, I do. I go 'It's got to be nice to have kids'. If my son or daughter wanted to go into bodybuilding, I would probably not be for it."
