Nick Walker is a professional bodybuilder whose latest Mr. Olympia placing was in the Top 3 in 2022. He competes in the open category; and has won the New York Pro 2024 championship. Walker was also the winner of the 2021 Arnold Classic.

Nick Walker likes to call himself a 'mutant', which literally means different from other organisms of the same species. He is active on social media and has 1.5 million followers on Instagram and over 300k subscribers on YouTube.

Walker has been seen as a strong competitor ever since he first made an appearance in the 2021 New York Pro. Olympia judge Terrick El Guindy said on 'How will Nick Walker change the Line Up' by @OlympiaTV on YouTube, that Walker can even outshine everyone. This includes Hadi Choopan and Derek Lunsford in the side-posing round at this Olympia weekend.

"Everyone will see": Nick Walker to compete in Mr. Olympia 2024

The athletes who have never won the Mr. Olympia have to qualify to enter the championship. Walker did just that by winning the 2024 New York Pro Open bodybuilding earlier this year. He didn't go to the Olympia in 2023 because he had an injury.

Walker is all set to enter the open bodybuilding Mr. Olympia this year. However, many have counted him out of the Olympia lineup already. People are speculating his performance won't be able to outshine that of the others on stage. Walker, though, only seems to get as strong and confident with each comment being made against him.

He said on his Instagram @nick_walker39 about being counted out:

"I guess eight weeks out, I guess one thing I find funny, is it seems to being counted out and everybody's prediction. 'I'm not in the Top 5 or I'm fifth', and I get it."

He mentioned how the fact that he wasn't on the stage last year could put him under pressure this year:

"I didn't do the Olympia last year, so y'all know how it was gonna stack up and obviously according to the world, my New York Pro package was underwhelming. So I get it.
"But I don't know how many times I gotta continue to prove myself. I mean I already solidified that but I don't mind being the underdog. I don't mind being counted out. Again. That's where I thrive the most. So come stage, come eight weeks. I guess everyone will see. Once again."

Nick Walker is confident that he'll be able to prove his doubters wrong once again and believes being underdog helps him.
