Mr Olympia remains one of the most prestigious titles in the sport of bodybuilding. Ever since its introduction in 1965, athletes have been fighting with all their might to win the title. Only 18 athletes have ever been able to accomplish their goal of lifting the Sandow trophy in the past six decades.

As an athlete gets older, the body starts to show the effects of aging. Securing a win in a bodybuilding contest at an older age becomes all the more difficult, especially with drugs and hardcore dieting creating extra hurdles along the way. With that being said, let's take a look at the thee oldest bodybuilders to win the Mr Olympia title.

#1 Oldest Mr Olympia champion - Shawn Rhoden

Jamaican-American Shawn Rhoden took the bodybuilding world by storm with his phenomenal physique at Mr Olympia 2018. What made the victory even more special was the fact that he dethroned the reigning champion Phil Heath at the staggering age of 43. Despite facing several challenges in his personal life, it was Rhoden's unwavering determination that led him to the win.

Unfortunately, the bodybuilding icon passed away in November 2021 at the age of 46 due to a heart attack. Despite his sad demise, Rhoden is a highly respected figure in the realm of bodybuilding and will long be remembered for his insane work ethic and perseverance.

#2 Chris Dickerson

The second name on the list is of none other than bodybuilding legend Chris Dickerson, who also won the title at the age of 43. Known for his insanely symmetrical physique and proportions, Dickerson started competing in competitive bodybuilding during the 60s and made a name for himself so big that he is still revered as one of the greatest bodybuilders ever.

Defeating legendary bodybuilder Frank Zane at Mr Olympia 1982, Dickerson created a record back then by being the oldest Mr Olympia champion.

#3 Ronnie Coleman

Ronnie 'The King' Coleman needs no introduction. Having created countless records in the world of bodybuilding, Coleman is also one of only two bodybuilders to win Mr Olympia eight times (the other being Lee Haney). Starting his career rather late after retiring from a job as a police officer, Coleman secured his eighth and final victory at Mr Olympia 2005 by defeating his rival Jay Cutler at the age of 41.
