Mark Wahlberg has not just made a name in Hollywood with blockbuster movies like Transformers and Ted. He is also making waves in the fitness industry, maintaining an exceptional physique at the age of 53. Wahlberg is a proud member of the 4am Club and follows a gruesome workout routine.

The 4am Club features gym rats who are up early before the sun rises to bring about a change in their mindset. While everyone is sleeping, 4am Club members are pushing their limits and sweating out in the gym. Recently, Mark Wahlberg shared a reel of his soul-crushing leg day routine on Instagram.

"Persistence pays off. Don’t overlook the little things. It’s all in the details.💯📈🏹 @municipal 4 am club 🥶🔥 @royalpersonaltraining thanks for letting us get it in 🙏 #MunicipalPartner," he captioned the post.

Mark Wahlberg is known for his insane leg workouts, especially Bulgarian lunges, a type of unilateral squat that targets your quadriceps, glutes, hamstrings, calves, abdominals, and spinal erectors. It is considered to be one of the hardest forms of squatting, but the Ted star does it without breaking a sweat. To take it to a new level, he even adds a weight, holding a dumbbell in the hand opposite the target leg.

In the video, Mark Wahlberg performed drop sets of the Bulgarian lunges with a set of different weights. He even had company this time, helping a couple of his friends complete a drop set after much difficulty.

Mark Wahlberg's 4 a.m. leg workout

Earlier this year, Wahlberg posted a reel training at 4 a.m. in pitch darkness, showcasing his discipline and dedication towards working out. The Hollywood star did a bunch of exercises to target all of his leg muscles.

"4 am club🔥 It’s still dark outside 😎 @municipal 📈💯," he captioned the post.

In the video, Wahlberg kicked off his training session with sissy squats to strengthen his quadriceps, work on core strength, and improve balance. He didn't rest after that and quickly moved on to dumbbell lunges. In the end, he performed one of the hardest variations of squats, the racked dumbbell squat.
