Greg Doucette is a YouTuber and bodybuilding coach who calls out influencers sharing false information on the internet. But many might not know a fact about Greg Doucette: he is an IFBB professional bodybuilder who has competed in numerous bodybuilding and powerlifting events. Now you might be wondering when he earned his pro card. He won his pro card back in 2012.


Greg Doucette's bodybuilding journey

The 48-year-old IFBB pro started his weightlifting training at the age of 10 with his father and twin brother, as stated in Muscle Insider's report. They used cement blocks and steel rods as their equipment. This sparked Greg Doucette's passion for bodybuilding and gave him a goal to become an IFBB pro bodybuilder.

At just the age of 13 young Greg got to know about bodybuilding through a television program and saw a 13-year-old kid competing. Then began the saga of the 48-year-old bodybuilding coach. He started competing in powerlifting and bodybuilding events. Young Greg loved his training sessions and mentioned them as one of his "fondest memories growing up."

After four years of competing at the age of 17, Greg Doucette won his first ever bodybuilding competition while just weighing 140 pounds. This is not all about Coach Greg's career; he also competed in powerlifting events along with his bodybuilding events and set a national record. He achieved this fate in a local powerlifting meet and bench-pressed 342 pounds while only weighing 148 pounds.

Doucette didn't stop there; he even won the WPC World Championships Best Lifter Award, setting a new record. Coach Greg's max raw bench press is 529 pounds while weighing 198 pounds, the fourth best in his weight class.

A report by Muscle Insider states that the IFBB Pro has over 100 bodybuilding and powerlifting titles under his name. Finally, in 2012, he won the CBBF Canadian National Bodybuilding Championships title in the light heavyweight division, earning him his pro card.

The 48-year-old bodybuilder also got the chance to feature in over 20 bodybuilding magazines, including some of the most prominent ones like Planer Muscle, MuscleMag International, and Flex.
