Ronnie Coleman, the eight-time Mr. Olympia is known as the King of Bodybuilding not only for his Olympia wins, but also for the immense strength he possessed back in his prime. 'The King' had some impressive records as a bodybuilder that would give powerlifters a good run for their money. Ronnie Coleman was often seen lifting an incredible amount of weight in the gym, and the clips still live on in the hearts of his fans. In one famous clip of his, he can be seen squatting 800 pounds.

The famous video was uploaded to Mass Monster's YouTube channel. In the video, Ronnie Coleman squatted 800 pounds, and did two reps. Despite the incredible feat, Ronnie Coleman was not satisfied with his performance, which he revealed in a podcast many years later.

In Bradley Martyn's Martin's Raw Talk podcast, the eight-time Mr. Olympia said:

"Don't have no regrets, the only regret I had is when I was doing that 800 pounds squat, I didn't do six reps. Because I knew I had six in me. But I didn't know that until I put it up. Because that was my first time trying it."

He added:

"If I had done it before that day, I would have got six easy reps on camera. I would have been fully satisfied. But because I didn't do it, that's the only regret I ever have in the sport." (22:51)

Ronnie Coleman's lifting records

The mass monster not only had an impressive record of squatting 800 pounds, he also deadlifted an astonishing weight of 800 pounds and did two reps at the Unbelievable in 2000. The King also bench-pressed a whopping 500 pounds and did five reps easily at the Cost of Redemption in 2003.

The King of bodybuilding did the military press with 315 pounds and did 12 reps at the Unbelievable in 2000. For the bent-over rows, he managed to lift a stunning weight of 515 pounds while doing 10 reps easily at the Relentless in 2006. He also made records in front squatting and hack squats, putting up records of 585 and 765 pounds respectively.

The eight-time Mr. Olympia had incredibly impressive strength in his legs as well. He also leg-pressed 2400 pounds, surprising everyone at the Cost of Redemption in 2003. As for calf raises, he lifted 540 pounds, showcasing his superhuman strength.
