Renowned strongman sensation Eddie Hall is best known for his deadlift records and PRs that continue to amaze the lifting community. Weighing in at 362 lbs, Hall is one of the epitomes of Strongman and has inspired countless individuals to take up lifting.

Back in 2016, Eddie ‘The Beast’ Hall deadlifted a whopping 1102 lbs, leaving his competitors in fear of the strongman’s caliber and insane strength. Weighing in at 434 lbs then, Hall lifted around 2.5 times his body weight.

But what many might wonder is how much Eddie Hall squats. While the strongman events don’t necessarily require athletes to do squats, it is often the best decision to incorporate heavy squats in your training to assist with other Strongman lifts.

While there is no official evidence of this, Eddie Hall revealed during a video with Jesse James West last year that his all-time squat PR is 892 lbs. Hall stated:

“I’ve done a 405-kilo squat…yeah, that’s completely raw…um…no knee sleeves, in a pair of trainers, no belts…that’s how I used to train. So I wouldn’t wear anything all year, train raw all year. And then, two weeks out from a competition, I get my wraps on, get my belt on, and that’s when it starts really easy.”

Eddie Hall shares insights about 1102 lbs deadlift

Deadlifting a whopping 1102 lbs deadlift is not child’s play. Manifesting this in his head for years, Eddie Hall’s countless hours of training ultimately reaped its benefits in 2016 at the World Deadlift Championships held by Europe’s Strongest Man.

Years after this incredible lift, Hall uploaded a video on his YouTube channel where he gave his honest views on his lift.

"It was at this point that I realized I was going blind. I lost the vision in the center of my eyes… that’s when I got quite scared. I just laid down on my back and stared at the ceiling; I thought this is where I’m going to die," he said. [14:52]
"People were wiping blood out of my ears, I had blood in my tear ducts in my eyes and I had blood coming out of my nose. It was pretty evident that I did something serious, like blowing something up in my head," Hall added. [15:28]
