Arnold Schwarzenegger is a bodybuilding legend who doesn't require any introduction. He has achieved many notable feats in the world of bodybuilding and beyond and fans have always been curious about how much this 6'2 giant weighed when he dominated the golden era of bodybuilding.

The walking giant Schwarzenegger used to weigh around 235 pounds on stage when he competed in various events. But this is not all. As per Nutritioneering, the bodybuilder took his bulking phase very seriously and weighed more than 250 pounds. Arnie laid the foundation of his career at a young age and is well-recognized for this fact.

Despite being such a massive bodybuilder, Schwarzenegger didn't lack muscle definition or strength back in his prime. It can be seen easily in the iconic lifts Arnie did, including a throwback image posted on his Instagram. In the post, the bodybuilding legend is seen lifting three bodybuilders on his back.

The Austrian Oak lifted three-time Mr. Olympia Frank Zane, Pete Caputo and the iconic Franco Columbu while doing Donkey calf raises. This gave a glimpse of the strength Schwarzenegger had back in his prime when he weighed around 235 pounds. However, gaining and maintaining such an astonishing weight is not an easy task, and Arnie had a diet plan when required.

The diet that helped Arnold Schwarzenegger sustain his colossal size

As per Muscle & Fitness, the Austrian Oak kicked off his day with three scrambled eggs and a cup of cooked oatmeal. Along with that, to replenish his hydration levels, he drank one glass of orange juice, accompanying it with a cup of low-fat milk. Then, for snacks, he had a handful of mixed nuts and an apple or banana.

For lunch, Schwarzenegger had a chicken sandwich. He used two slices of whole-wheat bread and cooked chicken breast with the skin removed. Along with the sandwich, he ate an apple with a cup of low-fat milk. For his next snack, he had three slices of cheese, a banana, and some water.

His post-workout meal included 25 grams of milk, 25 grams of egg, and eight to 12 ounces of low-fat milk blended together as one drink.

The Austrian Oak's last meal started with eight ounces of grilled beef, lean cut, and one large baked potato. He even had a large mixed vegetable salad for his dinner. 'The Terminator' ended his day's eating routine with a cup of low-fat milk.

This diet gave him 2750 calories along with 256 grams of protein, 271 grams of carbohydrates and 90 grams of fat.
