IFBB Pro Greg Doucette has echoed Dr Mike Israetel's thoughts about the negative effects of steriods. Doucette has competed both naturally as well as an enhanced athlete. Having decades of training experience under his belt, he knows the dark side of bodybuilding pretty well.

With the advent of the internet, taking steroids is starting to become a norm among teenagers. Without realising the side effects of taking performance-enhancing drugs, more and more people are using such compounds on a daily basis. Dr Mike Israetel, who recently announced a hiatus from bodybuilding, is making videos daily, educating the young minds on how severe the side effects can be along with Greg Doucette.

In a recent video that Greg Doucette posted on his YouTube channel, he reacted to a video of Dr Mike Israetel where he admits how dangerous steroids make him feel. Greg Doucette pointed out that despite taking minimal dosages of performance-enhancing drugs, Mike Israetel experienced crippling anxiety. Believing his words to be 100 percent true, Greg Doucette stated:

"It happens to a lot of people, Halo makes him want to commit acts of violence. He was taking 5 milligrams, I don't know anyone who takes 5 milligrams perhaps females...I was taking 50! 50 milligrams of Halo, I wanted to run through a wall...It felt like I could rip anyone's head off! You feel it, the aggression is real I was taking 10 times Mike's dose competing in powerlifting." (16:06)

Further in the same video, Greg Doucette also gave his honest views on Israetel's decision to go on a hiatus from bodybuilding. Even though Mike Israetel is persistent about earning an IFBB Pro card, he announced a short while back that he will not compete for a while.

Having earned a huge spike in his viewership on social media, Mike Israetel believed the best plan of action is to focus on making good content and managing his business.

Doucette seemed to like the idea a lot. He pointed out that Mike Israetel has the greatest viewership at the moment in the fitness sphere. Focusing on that, and his health should absolutely be the first priority.

"The guy hung up his posing trunks, he says it's not worth it. I have a career, I have a channel, I have the number 1 fitness app in the world what more do I have to prove? I don't need a pro card. The guy's got 90 million views in a month, why would he compete in bodybuilding with all these intrusive thoughts." (18:29)
"Makes no sense for a smart and educated man. I would think he'd say that's enough I'm hanging up the pose and trunks, I'm never going to compete again. I'm going to make video after video talking to people about what I've going through so that other people will not copy me." (18:54)
