Fitness icon and bodybuilder Dr Mike Israetel is one of the most respected athletes and influencers currently. Israetel has been competing in the realm of bodybuilding for some time now and despite having decades of experience under his belt, he still hasn’t won his pro card.

In his most recent show, Israetel finished sixth. Blaming his bad tan for the poor results, Israetel later announced that he is taking a break from competitive bodybuilding.

Dr Mike Israetel posted a long video about the same on his YouTube channel. Stating that he needs time for his YouTube channel and other ventures, Israetel announced that he won’t be competing in the near future. He also claimed that he is the biggest, leanest, and strongest he has ever been, and his decision isn't motivated by health concerns or steroid usage.

However, IFBB Pro Greg Doucette doesn't agree. He has uploaded countless videos on his channel bashing Israetel for taking abusive dosages of PEDs and disregarding his health.

He believes Dr Mike Israetel is already one of the best fitness around and it would be wise to not chase a pro card now, at the age of 40.

In a recent YouTube video, Doucette stated:

“What do you have to prove? You don’t need a pro card, you have already got the number one fitness channel in the world right now. Getting hella views, more than almost anyone. And so, what does he have left to prove? He doesn’t need a pro card. That is just for your ego.” (5:50)

Greg Doucette claims he isn’t jealous of Dr Mike Israetel

Given Greg Doucette's recent focus on Dr Mike Israetel on his YouTube channel, many viewers have been commented that the IFBB Pro is jealous of Mike. Addressing this, Doucette said:

“I’ve been glazing the guy. Telling him he has the number one channel, getting more views than anyone, has accomplished way more than coach Greg. Does somebody who’s jealous literally give so many props to someone else?”

Doucette claimed that he wants Dr Mike Israetel to be transparent and honest with the viewers. Considering the huge audience he has gathered over the years, it is Israetel’s responsibility to not mislead them. He added:

“Mike! Show us the blood work. If you are trying to educate the millions on the dangers of performance-enhancing drugs, why don’t you show us what it has done to your bloodwork?” (3:21)
