Seven-time Mr Olympia Arnold Schwarzenegger is one of the most respected bodybuilders of all time. Despite being 76 years old, Schwarzenegger is in his peak health and continues to work out and follow a strict diet. Owing his success to years of discipline that he learned early in his life thanks to lifting weights and being in the army, Schwarzenegger preaches to follow a fixed routine to stay healthy.

In his daily newsletter ‘Arnold’s Pump Club,’ Schwarzenegger often discusses the dos and don'ts of fitness and bodybuilding. He often addresses topics related to general health, diet, and supplementation.

In his recent edition of the newsletter, Arnold Schwarzenegger discussed at length the reasons behind why you might be waking up tired. While there can be numerous other reasons for this, Schwarzenegger holds the number of meals that you consume one day responsible for messing up a good night’s sleep. Arnold wrote:

“If you wake up and don’t feel like you have as much energy as you want, a slight change to your nutrition could make a difference. Research suggests that eating fewer meals per day could help you feel more alert and awake in the morning.”

Being a world champion numerous times, Arnold Schwarzenegger knows for a fact that bodybuilders often have the tendency to eat much more meals than normal people. This is why especially during bulking, people feel a lot more tired and exhausted despite consuming food in a surplus.

Schwarzenegger explained that this can be a reason for your grumpiness and low energy in the morning. He wrote:

“Interestingly, people who ate more often (4 to 5 times per day) had less focus and energy in the morning compared to those who ate fewer meals per day.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger’s exciting revelation about dancing

A while back, in his newsletter, Arnold Schwarzenegger talked about the benefits of dancing as well. While being active can surely result in a ton of benefits, the bodybuilding legend mentioned in his newsletter how dancing in particular can help fight depression.

Schwarzenegger wrote:

“Researchers analyzed 218 studies on more than 14,000 people and found that dancing was as good as—or better—at treating symptoms of depression and improving feelings of well-being than other forms of exercise.
“Dancing was also associated with overall improvements in self-efficacy, anxiety, depression, motivation, and quality of life.”

Arnold Schwarzenegger is an advocate for training and dieting for longevity. His tips and tricks continue to help countless individuals on a daily basis.
