Arnold Schwarzenegger is well-recognized not only for his achievements in professional bodybuilding but also for some of his iconic roles in Hollywood movies such as The Terminator and True Lies. However, stepping into the film industry was not an easy task for the legend, and there is a surprising fact that will blow your mind.

Schwarzenegger's roots are in Austria, where he spoke German, his mother tongue. After moving to the United States at the age of 21, he faced a communication gap and struggled a lot. This made the Austrian Oak start his education journey along with his bodybuilding career in the States. Now the seven-time Mr. Olympia winner holds two college degrees.

He laid the foundation of his education expedition by taking English classes to start his career in Hollywood. Arnold Schwarzenegger enrolled in Santa Monica College in California, which helped the bodybuilder get a grasp of the English language and work on his accent. Along with English, he also studied chemistry and sociology.

This not only benefited the icon, but it was also a turning point for the college. Arnie was a youth icon back then for his impressive physique, and psychology professor Rhea S. Das invited him as a lecturer after the release of his documentary "Pumping Iron." The students went crazy after seeing the bodybuilder. The college gained a lot of attention and helped him get his first college degree there.

Soon after graduating from Santa Monica College, Schwarzenegger began the preparation for his second college degree. He took his first degree through a regular program. But this time, the Austrian Oak opted for a distance learning program, as he was busy with his Hollywood career.

Schwarzenegger enrolled at the University of Wisconsin-Superior in the late 1970s, where he majored in fitness marketing and business administration. He even paid for the regular program tuition fees as he completed his degree while staying in Los Angeles.

Both degrees played a significant role in building Arnold Schwarzenegger's empire

Learning English as his secondary language was a game-changer for the bodybuilding legend. Arnie boosted his movie career after having a good grasp of English. He even won the Golden Globe Award in 1976. The tales of Arnold Schwarzenegger's success after graduating didn't end there.

Arnie even became the governor of California and gave his speeches in English, which was a big aid from his degree. He is now a well-known writer, who writes his daily newsletter called "Arnold's Pump Club" on his website, helping many in their fitness journies. His second degree helped him build his fitness empire.

Despite being a professional bodybuilder and being busy with his hectic schedule, Arnold Schwarzenegger pursued his education with dedication. Arnie's education tales serve as a good example for the youth.
