The famous IFBB Pro and now retired bodybuilder, Kevin Levrone, had a remarkable career that continues to inspire many. During the course of his career, Levrone faced off against some of the greatest names in the bodybuilding community, such as the legendary Ronnie Coleman.

The rivalry between Kevin Levrone and Ronnie Coleman is among the most talked about in bodybuilding history.

The early competitions and rivalry of Kevin Levrone and Ronnie Coleman in bodybuilding

Kevin Levrone started his career in the early 1990s and became a top competitor in bodybuilding contests. His symmetry, well-defined muscles, and captivating on-stage persona distinguished him from his competitors. In contrast, Ronnie Coleman began a little later in life but left a lasting impression because of his enormous size and conditioning.

Levrone and Coleman have already had many encounters throughout their careers, and their intense rivalry began in 1992.

During the Mr. Olympia competitions of 1992, Dorian Yates swept the others and won 6 consecutive titles from 1992 to 1997. Kevin Levrone, during this time, was placed second in both 1992 and 1995, while placing 5th in 1993 and 3rd in 1994.

On the other hand, Ronnie Coleman made every effort but was unable to defeat his prominent rivals.

According to an AEG fitness clip, Coleman revealed that Kevin Levrone offered him a friendly tip that helped him succeed in the bodybuilding arena.

"Pulls up a cup of coffee, pulls up a bottle of vodka, and pours it into the coffee. Drink this... This is what I do every single night,” Levron stated to Coleman.

Driven by his desire to win the prestigious Mr. Olympia title, Coleman gave Levrone's method a try and it proved successful. He went on to win the competition eight consecutive times, from 1998 to 2005.

"So I drank the vodka and coffee the next day at the show, and I beat Kevin... I think that was the last time Kevin Levrone ever beat me." [0:25 onwards]

Despite being known by many as "The Uncrowned King," Kevin Levrone managed to win the 1994 and 1996 Arnold Classic titles, which are also well-known titles because of their significance and impact.

The 1998 San Francisco Pro Show marked the last time Levron defeated Coleman. Levrone's triumph against Coleman demonstrated his extraordinary talent, power, and spirit of competition.
