The 2024-25 NBA season is almost here and Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr already has a vision on how he wants to run the team's offense. Following the departure of Klay Thompson, he shared his intent on having most of his players attempt numerous attempts from beyond the arc each game. His comments resulted in strong reactions from the fanbase.

Spotrac listed that Andrew Wiggins is signed on to a four-year $109 million contract while Brandin Podziemski is at four-year $16 million, giving a total of $125 million. These are two of the prominent role players on the team who are relied upon to provide a scoring punch outside of Stephen Curry.

"I want Wiggins shooting ... I want Brandin, I want Moses, I want De'Anthony," Kerr said. "I want to be a high volume three-point shooting team. I think that's important for us. And the big shift is Klay's not here. We're fourth in the league in three-point attempts last year. ... We're going to have to fill that void."

The Athletic's Anthony Slater shared Kerr's comments on X, formerly known as Twitter. Following the post, several fans shared their reactions.

"Who's going to get those rebounds on those threes? One of your 6'9" centers?"

X user 7 (@WrldofBobby) shared his lack of confidence in the team's ability to win games this season while user JaBar (@hightop_fade) argued that Wiggins should focus on dribble penetration over being a three-point shooter.

X users AMGonewild (@C283252831) and Rajiv Pace (@RajivPace), on the other hand, highlight the Warriors' need for rim protection and rebounds by capable big men to be effective in the league.

"We're not winning a game are we," the fan posted.
"Wiggins should not be taking that many 3s man. He should attack more like Kuminga," the fan posted.
"High risk strategy. Can't be a relevant team without good defense. Dubs still need rim protection and rebounds for second and third chance threes. Problem is Kerr doesn't know how to work with a true big," the fan posted.
"Outdated coach! It's not 2015 anymore. How we competing with the versatile bigs like Jokic and Giannis? Or guys like Embiid and AD? We can't just shoot them off the court anymore," the fan posted.

Kerr's Golden State Warriors have always been known as a heavy three-point shooting team and have thrived on that offensive philosophy for numerous seasons. However, the fans aren't sure if that's the way to go about things given the current strengths and playstyles of some of the team's players.

Warriors coach talked about working out the team's starting five rotation

During the team's training camp, Warriors coach Steve Kerr talked about making sure that the starting lineup's fit is prioritized before the season begins, as per ESPN's Kendra Andrews.

"The starting lineup is going to have to be dependent, not only on the first five fitting, but the second fitting as well," Kerr said. "We've got a lot of work to do to figure out lineups. All the guys can do is compete, play their ass off."

The ball club enters this season with a couple of new faces from De'Anthony Melton to Buddy Hield. With Klay Thompson no longer around, there is an expected shift in how the squad's starting five is going to look.

The on-court chemistry can be ironed out throughout 82 games but making sure that the players inserted complement each other's game is a necessary factor to be ironed out.
