On Friday, the Houston Rockets and LA Lakers will compete in their first game of the NBA 2K25 Summer League in Las Vegas. While the Lakers are fresh off a three-game stint at the California Classic, the Rockets will be making their Summer League debut.

The game will be the first NBA 2K25 Summer League game for both teams as they look to cement themselves as one of the top four teams before the playoffs on Jul. 21. Each NBA team will play four games, and the top four teams will then advance to the Summer League playoffs.

Teams who don't advance will play an extra game before packing it up for the summer.

The Rockets will enter the Summer League with a stacked roster, which includes 2023 NBA Summer League MVP Cam Whitmore. For the Lakers, Dalton Knecht and Bronny James will look to continue finding their rhythm following the California Classic.
