"They’re giving everyone a statue nowadays," another fan said.

Others were more receptive, celebrating Wade's accomplishments and even saying they'd attend the event.

"Genuinely the only player in Heat history who deserves one," one fan said.
"Our goat is so much better than Paul Pierce," another fan said.

Dwyane Wade had a remarkable career with the Miami Heat

Dwyane Wade entered the NBA as a part of the iconic 2003 Draft Class with LeBron James, Carmelo Anthony and more future legends. He was able to win a championship in his third season in the league, earning Finals MVP honors in the process. Flash was a terrific performer during his best days, although knee issues always followed and slowed him down.

After playing his best season in 2008-09, unable to find success on his own, the Heat decided to pair him up with LeBron James and Chris Bosh in the 2010 free agency. These moves gave them a much better chance to win the Larry O'Brien trophy. He was able to win two titles in four trips to the Finals during the Big 3 era, cementing his legacy as an all-time great for the Heat.

Out of his 17 NBA seasons, Dwyane Wade spent 15 with Miami, averaging 22.7 points, 4.7 rebounds and 5.6 assists per game in 948 games. She was an eight-time All-NBA, 13-time NBA All-Star, one-time All-Rookie, three-time All-Defensive Team member and one-time All-Star Game MVP, among other honors.
