When LeBron James isn't tearing it up on the hardwood, he can often be found playing Madden 25. In addition to his basketball skills, James was once a promising American Football player, impressing fans and scouts alike on the Gridiron in high school. Ultimately, James chose to pursue basketball, and the rest is history.

Despite that, he has continued to be an avid NFL fan and has been open about his passion for playing the Madden NFL video game. On Saturday, the four-time NBA champ posted a photo on his Instagram story to show that he now ranks among the top 100 players on Madden 25.

Along with the screenshot of his Top 100 badge, James shared a crown emoji and wrote:

"LFG."

Anthony Davis credits himself with being the one to motivate LeBron James to get better at Madden

Although LeBron James has been an avid Madden player since the early iterations of the game, his play has slipped over the years. This summer, Anthony Davis appeared on the "Join The Lobby" podcast and spoke about his love for gaming.

While Davis spoke about his evolution as a gamer and the jump from gaming on a controller to gaming on a mouse and keyboard, he also discussed the NBA bubble. He said he was one of the best Madden players on the team and would often beat James.

Because of that, LeBron grew tired of losing and began taking the game more seriously, playing 15-20 games a day to get better.

"It made him to the point where he was like, 'I'm locking back in.' When I say he locked back in, from that time in the bubble till right now, I think now he's maybe top 1000 in the world now. I know, late in the season, he told us he beat the 164th best player in the world, I think," Davis said.

However, James has improved over the past few months and now ranks within the top 100.
