Cleveland-based rapper Doe Boy jokingly called out LeBron James for cheating during their game of Madden NFL. The rapper and NBA star are good friends and usually play the popular football video game against each other. James is enjoying the offseason after coming off a gold medal win with Team USA at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

In a post on Instagram stories, Doe Boy wasn't happy after losing a Madden NFL game against "The King." He even claimed that the LA Lakers superstar was a "cheater," and it's the reason why he got a blowout in the game.

"Bro, this n**ga a f*cking cheater. Soon as this n**ga 'bout to lose, he got like special Madden or some sh*t though.
"They gave this n**ga a special game, and they let this n**ga get special settings. Look, he can do anything. Look at this n**ga, bro. I swear to God this n**ga really is a f*cking cheater, bro," Doe Boy said.

The rapper also captioned the post:

"@kingjames tell me your secret cus. This sh*t don't make no sense."

Doe Boy even went as far as claiming that LeBron James types cheat codes that turn off his controller. The two friends were playing Madden NFL on Xbox, which is a regular thing. They also went viral for their game against each other in January during the season.

James responded to Doe Boy's "cheater" claims and asked his followers to check up on the 30-year-old rapper and see if he was still fine after another loss.

"Somebody go knock on my boy door and make sure he's ok," James wrote.

LeBron James helped Doe Boy get signed to a record deal

Doe Boy and LeBron James started as acquaintances, as they were both from from Ohio.

The rapper began his career in 2010 but only got recognition in 2019 when James went viral while rapping to Doe Boy's song "Walk Down." He became popular after that and even went to work with other artists like Meek Mill, Future, 21 Savage and Young Thug.

The 30-year-old rapper released an album titled "Beezy" last year, and one of the reasons why he got signed by Future's record label was due to Akron native James. The two have since formed a bond and mostly interact via Madden NFL during the season and offseason.

However, Doe Boy needs to do better if he wants to beat James, who's apparently a top 1,000 among Madden NFL players, as per Complex.
