"This equivalent to Meek Mill bunny hopping" - NBA fans go wild as Jalen Brunson accepts Jon Stewart's 'Jew Boy' jersey bet

NBA fans went wild after Jalen Brunson accepted Jon Stewart's bet for the upcoming game between the Philadelphia Eagles and New York Giants. Brunson, who is an Eagles fan despite playing for the Knicks, agreed on a wager against the New York native comedian and host.

Stewart was a guest on Brunson and Josh Hart's "Roommates Show" and one of the things they discussed was the Knicks' superstar's fandom of the Eagles. It led to The Daily Show host making a bet with Brunson for the Oct. 20 NFL game between Philly and the Giants.

If the Giants win, Brunson will wear a Giants jersey that says "Jew Boy" on the back. Stewart is of Jewish heritage although the term is considered offensive by some people.

On the other hand, if the Eagles win, Stewart will have to wear a Saquon Barkley Philly jersey. Barkley is a former Giants running back who jump-shipped and signed with the Eagles this past offseason.

Fans online jumped to the comments section and wildly reacted to the bet between Jalen Brunson and Jon Stewart.

One fan likened it to Meek Mill bunny hopping after losing a bet to Fanatics founder Michael Rubin in a tennis match.

"This equivalent to Meek Mill bunny hopping," a fan wrote.

"We know that, it's just an odd thing to bet and say in general," one fan opined.

"And Jon Stewart has to rock a 'Black boy' jersey if Eagles win," another fan suggested.

Jalen Brunson is one of the biggest stars in New York but he doesn't support the Giants or Jets in the NFL. Brunson grew up in South New Jersey, a hub for Eagles supporters. He also went to Villanova in Philadelphia for three seasons.

"Only Jon Stewart could think of something this wild! 😂 Imagine the headlines if Jalen actually rocks that jersey, talk about a bold fashion statement!" one fan replied.

"That's got to be some sort of humiliation ritual," a fan claimed.

"Jon Stewart is getting weird in his old age," another fan remarked.

The Philadelphia Eagles will visit the New York Giants at the MetLife Stadium on Oct. 20. Jalen Brunson and Jon Stewart can make another bet on Jan. 4 when it's the Giant's turn to face the Eagles at the Lincoln Financial Field in Philly.

The Philadelphia Eagles hosted the Atlanta Falcons on Sept. 16 for their opening home game of the season. The Eagles brought in Jalen Brunson and Eagles legend Jason Kelce to hype up the crowd, but it didn't end well for the Gang Green.

The Eagles had a six-point lead with 1:39 left in the game following a 28-yard field goal by Jake Elliott. However, Kirk Cousins pulled off a remarkable comeback by throwing a touchdown to Drake London with 34 seconds remaining. Younghoe Koo kicked a field goal for the extra point and the victory.
