"That's Westbrook-like": NBA fans roast Bronny James after Lakers guard goes 0-for-8 from beyond the arc vs Rockets

Bronny James' draft had split the fans in two halves, one that believed that he would do well in the league and one that doubted his abilities and advised him to spend another year in college. Bronny is having it rough in the California Classic Summer League. The Lakers guard has delivered back-to-back poor performances, with fans trolling him on social media.

In his latest game against the Houston Rockets, Bronny James shot an abysmal 0 of 8 from the three-point line. It is a big deal given that Bronny has been projected as an elite ranged shooter in the past. His field goals as well were not impressive, he shot 3 of 14 from the field and ended up scoring a measly eight points in the game.

The fans quickly took notice of it and expressed their thoughts in the comments sections of a post on X, formerly known as "Twitter." One fan compared Bronny to Clippers star Russell Westbrook, who became infamous for his poor performance in the last few seasons.

Other fans hopped on the bandwagon and trolled the Lakers rookie.

"Well at least he gets the best seats to watch his 40 year old dad carry the team," another fan added.

"Earned every penny of that multi year contract," one fan expressed.

While some fans trolled the young Laker, others showered their support for him in the comments.

On Monday, the Lakers will face the NBA champions Boston Celtics as their next opponents in the summer league.

LeBron James shares son Bronny James does not care about the critics

In an interview with ESPN, LeBron James shared that his son Bronny James doesn't care about the critics or the opinion of people around him. Bron compared his son to himself and said that when he entered the league, he used to care a little about the opinion of people concerning him. However, his son is the total opposite and doesn't let the negativity get to him.

"He does not care about nobody. He doesn't even listen to that stuff. He's like the coolest. He's like the complete opposite of his dad. His dad will say something. Bro does not care. ... Everything that's being said about him, he really does not care," LeBron said.

While Bronny James is playing in the Summer League and honing his skills, his father, King James is currently in training with Team USA and is preparing for the upcoming Paris Olympics.
