Hall of Famer Shaquille O'Neal has been incredibly critical of Dwight Howard during his time in the NBA. As far back as 2013, Shaquille O'Neal has been on record taking shots at Dwight Howard. When Howard took his talents to Taiwan to play for Taoyuan Leopards in the T1 League, O'Neal was one of the first to criticize him.

That, of course, led to Howard firing back in a statement of his own, defending his teammates from the NBA legend. Late last year, Howard questioned why O'Neal continued to criticize him publicly for so long. In his eyes, the two had no reason to feud with one another.

Since then, Howard has continued to put up record-breaking numbers in Taiwan. With a 3-point shot and impressive ball-handling skills that he didn't display in the NBA, fans have been impressed by Howard's overseas play. Despite that, Shaquille O'Neal doesn't think he deserves much credit when his team has a sub-.500 record

During a recent episode of "The Big Podcast," Shaquille O'Neal spoke about Howard's recent play in Taiwan:

"They (Dwight Howard's team) have a losing record. Somebody sent me they have a losing record. I ain't losing to nobody in Taiwan how about that. How do you have a losing record in Taiwan? Come on now. You can't have no losing record in Taiwan."

The Dwight Howard-Shaquille O'Neal feud

Given that the two men share the Superman nickname, and both big men proved themselves to be ferocious dunkers with the Orlando Magic, the beef seems odd. For his part, Howard isn't even quite sure how it started.

While many think the feud started because of Howard's use of the 'Superman' nickname, there are some key differences. In Howard's case, the nickname came from Soulja Boy's 'Crank That' song, whereas for O'Neal, the nickname came from the superhero.

While some may think that Howard is lying about the origins of his Superman nickname, he made some pretty groundbreaking revelations last year. During an episode of "Cold As Balls with Kevin Hart," Howard stated that growing up, he didn't even know a lot about Shaq as a player:

"I never had an issue with Shaq. To be honest, I really didn't know a lot about Shaq as a young kid. ... I watched the Magic play, I don't even realize Shaq was on that team until he played the Sixers in the finals. And I saw him demolish (Dikembe) Mutombo.
"I was in 11th grade, and I just remember Shaq beating up everybody. And after that I was like, 'Oh, man.'"

Now that O'Neal has been criticizing his game for the past decade, Howard is getting tired. Prior to O'Neal's most recent claims, Howard questioned why someone who calls themselves Superman is tearing anyone down.

So far, no response has come from Howard in regards to O'Neal's latest criticism.

Below, you can see some insane highlights from this season in Taiwan, where Howard put up 38 points, 25 rebounds and nine assists for the Taoyuan Leopards.
