Another Pro Basketball Writers Association’s Magic Johnson Award was given to Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry. The award is given to players who express cooperation and professionalism when dealing with media members and fans.

Curry won the award in 2016 and has returned to earn his spot a second time this season. Milwaukee Bucks star Damian Lillard is the only other player who has won the award twice.

Former LA Lakers star Magic Johnson took the chance to congratulate the two-time winner on X (formerly Twitter). Johnson posted a touching message about Curry winning the award, as he was proud to award it to the Warriors star.

However, the second part of his post caught many fans' attention. Johnson mentioned about 'hanging out with Curry's mom, Sonya,' during the LA Sparks' season opener. Fans had a bit of fun with it, and here are some of their top reactions.

"Second half of this tweet is wild you gotta proof read," one fan warned Johnson.
"The best part of the last sentence is I don’t think Magic is saying it as a joke," one fan was convinced about Johnson's sincerity.
"That last line.. have mercy Magic," another fan was surprised with what Magic posted.
"Magic never misses with his excellent tweets," this fan will not get tired of Magic's posts.
"This is why Magic is the greatest PG of all time," the GOAT PG debate is over according to this fan.
"N***a said btw I was wit ya mom last night," one fan can't get over Johnson's post.

Curry's mom Sonya is the godmother of Sparks rookie Cameron Brink, which explains why she was at the ballgame.
