Toronto Raptors star forward Scottie Barnes, who signed a rookie max contract extension this offseason, gave some dating advice to his followers on social media. Barnes warned everyone about the use of the dating app Tinder and just go for an alternative way of meeting dates.

In a video uploaded by one of Barnes' fan pages, the 23-year-old was streaming when a fan asked him about Tinder and girls. He replied by saying that young men shouldn't go to the dating app to meet women. He suggested going to the fair if you're in Canada and want to try your luck.

"'Need a girl? Use Tinder.' Nah, bro. Don't do that. Don't do that. Please, do not listen to that guy and use Tinder, bro. Like that's sad. That's going out sad. You, if you're in Canada, you can go to the fair, bro. Everybody's at the fair right now, bro," Barnes said.

It wasn't the first time Scottie Barnes dished out some dating advice on his stream. He also encouraged people to go outside and meet potential dates in the real world. While the Toronto Raptors star has got some insights on dating, he hasn't been linked to anyone at the moment.

"Go find one at the mall. Like, go to the mall. Go walk outside. … It's like, alright, you see something that you like, go get the number, don't be shy, have some confidence in yourself, simple. Like, bro, don't you want a good girl?" Barnes said.

Scottie Barnes is coming off the best season of his young career, averaging 19.9 points, 8.2 rebounds, 6.1 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.5 blocks per game. He was doing it all for the Toronto Raptors as the front office has fully embraced the rebuild around him.

Barnes was so good, especially in the first half of the season, leading to his first NBA All-Star selection. However, his season ended prematurely in March when he broke his right hand. He underwent successful surgery and is back to full health ahead of training camp.

The Raptors rewarded his efforts with a five-year, $225 million contract extension, which could reach $270 million if Barnes fulfills some of the requirements. He's now the franchise centerpiece along with Immanuel Quickley, who also signed a new contract.

It will be a very interesting season in Toronto, as they play in a very shallow Eastern Conference. They could struggle but could also surprise people next season with Barnes at the helm.
