Indiana Pacers big man Myles Turner has been a popular name in trade speculation over the years and it appears as if he could finally be on the move ahead of this year's NBA trade deadline.

Throughout his career in the NBA, Turner has become one of the top defensive centers in the league. At just 26 years old, Myles has the two-way ability to be a heck of an asset for an NBA organization. When healthy, Turner has the ability to be a force in the paint with his impressive shot blocking ability.

He's currently averaging 16.7 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game for the Pacers this year and has also been efficient with his play during the 2022-23 season. He's shooting 55.6% from the field and 39.8% from three-point range.

With the Indiana Pacers rebuilding, Turner could be on the move. NBA insider Shams Charania previously reported that the Pacers and Turner had opened up talks about a potential extension.

According to Matt Moore of Action Network, the Pacers could move Turner if no agreement is met ahead of the deadline.

“However, multiple sources indicated this week that if a deal isn’t reached, it would finally prompt the Pacers to move on and deal Turner”

The Indiana Pacers have been a pleasant surprise during the 2022-23 season. Although they have a number of young players, the team finds itself with a 21-18 overall record.

Myles Turner has been a consistent piece for the Pacers in the paint over the years. With the organization looking to develop their young talent, they could look to move Turner for additional future assets. There's still a chance that the Pacers and Turner could come to an agreement on an extension.

As it stands right now, Myles Turner is in the final year of his contract. He is set to make $17.5 million this season before becoming a free agent this offseason. The chances are that his value will increase, especially if he hits the open market.
