On April 22, Nikola Jokic's brother Strahinja found his name trending for all the wrong reasons. During a playoff game between the Denver Nuggets and LA Lakers, he was caught on video punching another fan at Ball Arena's stands. Following the incident, The Denver Post's Shelly Bradbury reported that he was charged with third-degree assault.

Strahinja Jokic appeared at Denver County Court on Wednesday, due to the video going viral and the victim chose to press charges. It was also reported that the victim suffered a concussion and injuries to his face. A protection order was then placed in motion for Strahinja to establish distance from the victim.

Aside from the protection order, Strahinja is also expected to show up in court again in October to complete the fingerprinting process.

Back in 2019, he was also charged with assault for pushing and choking a woman. What made the situation worse was that he even prevented the victim from contacting the police.

He eventually pleaded guilty to the misdemeanor charge of preventing the phone call. However, his trespassing violation was dropped upon the notion that he would follow unsupervised probation and not commit any crime for the next two years.

Strahinja has yet to comment on the incident with the fan as well as other members of the Jokic family. However, he argued to the police that he only resorted to physical force as he was defending an older man who he was acquainted with.

Nikola Jokic's wife was also spotted trying to calm down her husband's brother during the altercation while carrying her child.
