LeBron James sums up trash-talking with son Bronny James in four words

LeBron James and the LA Lakers are ramping up their preparation for the 2024-25 NBA season and the stars are focused on training. The training has become intense as the first father-son duo of the NBA have been competitive in practice.

The two have reportedly talked trash to each other during a scrimmage and James shared his take on Instagram.

Many are excited to see the moment when James and his son will share the court. During one of their recent scrimmages, Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka shared how the four-time champion talked trash to his son.

"In our pickup game, I think it was yesterday or two days ago. He got switched onto LeBron and he took him baseline and up and under off the glass," Pelinka said. "The words exchanged afterwards were probably more challenging than anything else."

After Pelinka shared the story, the Lakers star went to social media and gave it a verdict. He shared it on his Instagram story on Wednesday.

"Great defense. Better O (offense)," James shared.

During the interviews with Pelinka and head coach JJ Redick, they shared that they've started talking about when they'll have the father-son duo share the court. According to Redick, he's started the discussion on the matter with his coaching staff.

However, there isn't any definite date on when that will happen. But the planning has started for Redick to make the historic day happen.

LeBron James lost focus in his first training session with his son

It's rare to see a father-son duo in the league and LeBron James is fortunate enough to achieve that with his son, Bronny.

James appeared on the show of a media father-son duo in "GoJo & Golic," where he talked about his initial feelings when he first practiced with his son.

"This week, we got back into the gym, and it was really the first time that me and Bronny was basically on the floor as professionals, trainin’, goin’ against each other, preparin’ for the season, and it was — I had a couple moments where I kinda just — I lost focus," James said.

James said that he isn't used to losing focus during practice. However, as he realized that he'd get to play in the NBA with his son, he couldn't stop but think about how unbelievable the season would be for him and his family.
