LeBron James and his wife, Savannah, have several reasons to be proud of their kids, Bronny, Bryce and Zhuri. Bronny James is gearing up for his first season in the NBA after being drafted in the second round, while Bryce James continues to carve out his path as he marches to his NBA dreams.

James' youngest child, Zhuri, has proven to be quite the athlete herself. While speaking to media members this week leading up to the Lakers' first preseason game on Friday, the future Hall of Famer gushed about Zhuri's recent volleyball tryout while sitting next to his son Bronny.

After opening up on several topics, including a highly-discussed practice session where James reportedly took Bronny's baseline, he revealed that his wife fired up NBA 2k to play as Bronny. As he explained, his family has plenty of reasons to be proud.

James then discussed Zhuri's recent volleyball tryout:

"Zhuri, she's nine years old and she went to try out for under-11 volleyball. You know what's even crazier? She went up there to try for under-11. They asked her, what're you trying out for?
"She said under eleven. And they bumped her up to under 12. So she's playing three ages over. So we're all just super proud. She's gonna be good."

LeBron James recalls the time he knew Bronny James would be special

After breaking a slew of NBA records in recent years, including the league's all-time scoring record, LeBron James is set to make history in another way this season. In addition to being the oldest player in the league, James and his son Bronny will be the first father-son duo to play together in the NBA.

During his LA Lakers media day interview with the Spectrum SportsNet team, James recalled when he had recognized Bronny's potential and called him "special."

"When he was like, five or six years old, ... he was playing on the little league, ... in our hometown of Akron, Ohio. And, I think he was like five or six years old. And he ... had grabbed a rebound and drove coast to coast through the lane, through a couple of the other kids and laid it up," James said.
"... And I looked over at his mom and I was like 'Oh, he's special. Like, he's special.' She was like, 'What? He's five years old. Like, what are you talking about?' I'm like, 'I've seen this before. Like, I know I've seen this before.'"

The NBA star added that after Bronny was drafted, LeBron brought up the story to Savannah again. The pair reflected on their son's remarkable journey to the NBA.
