Nikola Jokic is coming off an excellent individual season, despite coming up short of a back-to-back NBA championship. Following his latest Olympic run with Serbia, the three-time MVP showed up to the Denver Nuggets Media Day rocking a bearded look, leaving Nuggets fans ecstatic about what's in store in the upcoming season.

The bearded look was shared by the team's social media account on X, formerly known as Twitter. Last season, "The Joker" brought home his third MVP award. He averaged 26.4 points (58.3% shooting, including 35.9% from 3-point range), 12.4 rebounds and 9.0 assists per game.

In response to the Nuggets' post, several fans shared their reactions in the comments section.

"League ain't ready for Bearded Joker."

Some users are expecting another playoff sweep looming for the Lakers, courtesy of the Nuggets big man.

"Averaging 30/20/15 with that beard," the fan posted.
"Keep that villain energy all season," the fan posted.
"Jokic on a tear this season," the fan posted.
"He about to drop another sweep on the Lakers," the fan posted.

Jokic is entering his 10th season in the NBA while being at the peak of his career. Following a disappointing playoff loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves in the second round, the fans are expecting a huge season from the All-Star center.

Nikola Jokic reportedly had conversations with Russell Westbrook before he was acquired by the Denver Nuggets

Before Russell Westbrook was acquired by the Nuggets on July 26, 2024, Sports Illustrated's Joey Linn reported that Nikola Jokic was in contact with the 2017 MVP before final negotiations were made. He shared his report on X.

"Nikola Jokic has been out of the country for the Olympics," Linn posted, "But I'm told he's already spoken to Russell Westbrook on the phone to welcome him to Denver and discuss their pairing next season. Should be a fun duo for the Nuggets."

Following the departure of Kentavious Caldwell-Pope to the Orlando Magic, the Nuggets' front office needed to bolster their roster's depth. Their secondary unit ran into a couple of headaches last season with Bruce Brown and Jeff Green no longer being part of the squad.

Given a young bench unit, Westbrook could just be what the team needs for veteran guidance and stable production when the starters need to take a few minutes resting on the sideline.

It is an intriguing acquisition that Nikola Jokic has been in support of prior to reports of the trade move being accomplished.
