New York Knicks veteran guard Josh Hart came up with a fun question ahead of the second edition of the NBA's in-season tournament, now rebranded 'Emirates NBA Cup.' The airline gave its name to the competition, but Hart wanted to know more and dug deeper.

The veteran took to X (formerly Twitter) to ask if the Knicks would fly in Emirates planes for their away games after the league's official X account shared a video explaining how the tournament will be played.

"Do we get to fly in @emirates planes for those away games? 👀," Hart inquired.

Being one of the most famous and luxurious airlines in the world, it's easy to see where Hart is coming from. It's unclear what type of deal the NBA agreed to with Emirates for this tournament, but having flights available for the tournament would be a terrific addition.

The 2024 NBA Cup will be played from Nov. 12 until Dec. 17. It will start with the 30 teams competing in six groups, shared between the two conferences. Both East and West will have groups from A to C. Each team will play each other one time to define which one has the best record for every group.

Besides the six group winners, two more teams will make the next round as wildcards to complete the quarterfinal round. The four winners of those games will advance to the semifinals, which will be played in Las Vegas, as well as the tournament final.

The LA Lakers won the inaugural edition of this tournament after beating the Indiana Pacers last year.

A look at the New York Knicks' schedule in the 2024 Emirates NBA Cup

The New York Knicks couldn't make it to the final four in the inaugural edition of the Emirates NBA Cup. The New Yorkers will try to go deeper this year as part of a group with competitive squads.

Nov. 12: Knicks at Sixers (7:30 p.m. ET on TNT)

Nov. 15: Nets at Knicks (7:30 p.m. ET)

Nov. 29: Knicks at Hornets (12 p.m. ET on NBA TV)

Dec. 3: Magic at Knicks (7:30 p.m. ET on TNT)

The Philadelphia 76ers and Orlando Magic are, on paper, the hardest opponents the New York Knicks will face on their way to the knockout round. They will be the first and final challenge for the Knicks, respectively.
