The fact that LeBron James will share the basketball court with his son Bronny is an exciting thought for many, including Kevin Durant. KD and LeBron have had epic clashes in the past, and another chapter could be added tonight when the Phoenix Suns take on the LA Lakers in a preseason game (Oct. 6).

Members of the media, including Sportskeeda's Mark Medina, got the chance to speak with KD ahead of this matchup. During this interview session, KD was asked about his perspective on facing off against both LeBron and Bronny on the same court.

The Phoenix Suns star seemed like he had positive thoughts about this matchup, even cracking a smile before responding.

"That'd be cool," KD said. "I remember Bronny running around when he was in elementary school. Being around Bron and his family 10, 12, 13 years ago, y'know. To see it come full circle at this moment is pretty cool. Just seeing him out on the floor with James Jr. on his back with his dad is crazy to see," KD added.
"So hopefully I get a chance to get on the floor with Bronny tonight and just compete against him. The whole moment is pretty sweet."

Tonight is only the first of two preseason games between Kevin Durant's Suns and LeBron James' Lakers. They will face each other again on Oct. 17, which will be the Lakers' penultimate preseason game before the season.

It is typical for stars to skip out on suiting up for preseason games but LeBron will be suiting up tonight, going by Lakers coach JJ Redick's words.

Meanwhile, Kevin Durant seems like he is also planning on suiting up tonight. So, he and LeBron James are likely going to share the court at some point. The only question now is if Bronny will be suiting up, too.

If Bronny doesn't get minutes, the Lakers and the Suns have a four-game series to look forward to this upcoming season. So, there should be plenty of opportunities for KD to share the court with both LeBron and Bronny.

Kevin Durant and LeBron James have seen each other in the NBA Finals three different times

Kevin Durant and LeBron James are two of the league's best players right now. As such, clashes between the two are always highly anticipated events.

These two MVP-caliber players have had a total of 26 regular season games against each other. These face-offs date back to 2008 when KD was still with the now-defunct Seattle Supersonics and LeBron was in his first stint with the Cleveland Cavaliers.

LeBron holds the advantage in their regular season matchups, having won 18 of them. However, KD has a better record against him in the postseason.

All of the Playoff matchups between these two have taken place in the NBA Finals. The first time it happened was when KD was part of the young OKC Thunder core that made the Finals in 2012.

They ran into LeBron's Miami Heat, whom they beat in the first game, but the Heat bounced back dominantly to complete a gentleman's sweep.

They wouldn't see each other again in the Finals until 2017, after Kevin Durant joined the Golden State Warriors and LeBron had returned to the Cavs. This time, it would be KD's Warriors who would win the series 4-1.

LeBron and the Cavs looked to come back with a vengeance the following year but KD and the Warriors wouldn't concede a single game, sweeping the Cavs 4-0.
