Devin Booker is coming off an incredible season where he was named to the All-NBA third team. The sharpshooter has been one of the NBA's most dangerous scorers, and the Phoenix Suns will call on the shooting guard once again for Tuesday's preseason game against the Detroit Pistons. Booker is healthy and will take the court for the Suns.

The Suns will travel to East Lansing, Michigan, to face the Pistons for their second preseason game of the year. They are coming off an impressive comeback win against the Los Angeles Lakers on Sunday. The Suns outscored the Lakers 33-22 in the fourth quarter to edge the closely contested game 118-114.

Booker started against the Lakers and played 14 minutes. The shooting guard was efficient on the night and managed 12 points, three assists and two rebounds. He shot 4-12 from the field and made three of his six 3-pointers.

Phoenix used 16 different players against Los Angeles, and we can expect coach Mike Budenholzer to rotate his lineup heavily again on Tuesday. While Booker will see some time on the court, expect his minutes to be limited, as is common in the preseason.

Devin Booker had a strong 2023-24 season and helped guide the Suns to the playoffs for the fourth consecutive year. The 27-year-old led the Phoenix roster in points (27.1, tied with Kevin Durant) and assists (6.9) and also chipped in with 4.5 rebounds and 0.9 steals per game.

Devin Booker will be a key figure in 2025 for a Phoenix Suns franchise in search of its first NBA title

The Phoenix Suns have added some key pieces this offseason, and All-Star guard Devin Booker will be called on to play a big role as the organization goes in search of its first NBA championship.

In 2022 and 2023, Phoenix competed in back-to-back Western Conference semifinals but was unable to get past the Denver Nuggets and Dallas Mavericks, respectively.

Last season, a potent offense led the Suns to a 49-33 record, but the team once again failed to deliver in the postseason and was eliminated in the first round by the Minnesota Timberwolves.

With star names like Booker, Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal in the lineup, the Suns boast one of the most complete rosters in the NBA. Next season, the expectations will be high for this talented group as it looks to finally break the franchise's long-standing 56-year title drought.
