Infamous LeBron James detractor and critic Jason Whitlock urged the Indiana Fever rookie star Caitlin Clark to maintain her distance from the Los Angeles Lakers superstar. After Clark delivered a spectacular performance against the Chicago Sky on Friday, the Lakers star applauded her on X (formerly Twitter) for the 31-point masterclass she delivered on the court.
Clark was an offensive powerhouse on the hardwood who led her team to a 100-81 finish over Angel Reese's Chicago Sky.
However, Whitlock was not impressed with Bron's appreciation of Caitlin Clark and warned the Fever rookie of the Lakers star's ulterior motives.
"I hope CC keeps her distance from LeBron. Align with Jordan at Nike and align with Mahomes publicly," Whitlock wrote on X.
"LeBron is a race idolator pretending he likes CC. CC is gonna sell more Nikes than LeBron. He knows it. She's going to be a bigger icon than LeBron. He wants to pretend he supported/blessed her rise."
According to Bron's detractor, the Lakers' star is only engaging with the Fever rookie, as he knows of her potential and wants to use her meteoric rise in fame to his advantage. He advised the young WNBA athlete to align herself with NFL Icon Patrick Mahomes and Micheal Jordan instead of going near King James.

Jason Whitlock may have expressed his opinion warning the Indiana Fever rookie to keep distance from arguably the greatest player in basketball history. However, it did not sit right with the fans who flooded the comments section, firing back at the analyst.
"Are you that unhappy that your tweets just gravitate towards negativity.. ? You’re right often but you try way too hard to search for the flaws and negatives in everyone. Enjoy life a little more," one fan said.
"I think he knows, on a much larger scale, what CC is going through and is sending her good energy," another fan said.

Another fan spoke in support of LeBron James and applauded Whitlock for having guts.
