Reggie Miller defended LeBron James' son, Bronny James, after the LA Lakers rookie committed his first NBA flagrant foul on Thursday in a preseason game against the Suns. Bronny's foul came against Suns rookie Jalen Bridges in the fourth quarter.

The Lakers player inadvertently body-checked his counterpart after tracking back Bridges in transition, forcing contact mid-air, which saw the Suns' guard take a hard fall to the floor. The referees reviewed the call before deeming it flagrant.

NBA legend Reggie Miller, who was broadcasting live for TNT, sarcastically took a shot at critics, predicting they would call LeBron's son a "dirty player."

"I can hear it hear it now, 'Bronny James is a dirty player,'" Miller said. "Stop it people."

Miller presumed that it would be the case once the foul occurred. However, there was no conjecture regarding Bronny's intentions in this play. He even apologized to Bridges and checked on him immediately after the foul.

It seemed like the Lakers rookie didn't realize his counterpart was mid-air when he stopped his run, leading to the hard fall for Bridges. The Suns rookie stayed in the game and made two free throws that were rewarded as a penalty.

Bronny James has best preseason outing in eventful night against Suns

Bronny James' preseason misery seems to have come to a halt after his exploits on Thursday against the Suns. He didn't stuff the stat sheet as such, scoring four points and grabbing two rebounds on 2 of 4 shots, but was a +17 for the Lakers. Bronny was on the floor in their 128-122 OT comeback win throughout the fourth quarter and overtime.

He shared the floor with Kevin Durant, Bradley Beal and Anthony Davis in crunch time and even matched up with the Suns star duo on separate occasions. Bronny drew a foul on Durant after challenging him at the rim, with the Suns star attempting to block his shot.

On the other end, the whistle went against Bronny after he attempted to block Beal's layup from behind. This game started on a positive note for Bronny, who made a field goal on his own rebound in his first offensive possession.

It has been difficult for him to get going offensively, as he's only shot 20% thus far in five games and failed to make a 3.
