"Got the hood on so his hairline don't show": NBA fans troll LeBron James' for gym attire during offseason workouts

LeBron James seems to be in better shape than many younger NBA players. After competing in the Olympics, the four-time MVP is back to familiar surroundings. With another historic season on the horizon, James is in the gym preparing for the 2024-25 campaign.

An X (formerly Twitter) user posted photos of James working out. The pictures showed the veteran deep in concentration while wearing Laker apparel, including a hoodie.

Basketball fans promptly reacted to the workout photos:

“He got the hood on so his hairline don’t show,” one tweeted.

One fan didn’t hold back from trolling the gold medalist:

“Ready to stat pad and struggle to make the play-in”

JoshuaNoah21 commented:

“Looks and is ready are far different”

Another fan predicted how James and the Lakers would do:

“Lakers made no improvement, but watching Lebron and Bronny will be fun to watch”

LeBron James’ hairline has been receding, but his play has hardly diminished. Despite Anthony Davis being on the roster, many argued that he was still his team’s best player.

Next season might not be any different, as the soon-to-be 22-year veteran will be more motivated to do well. James has an inevitable historic team-up with his eldest son, Bronny James, as well.

LeBron earned All-NBA third-team honors last season. He averaged 25.7 points, 8.3 assists, 7.3 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 71 games, the most he has played since 2017-18. Most expect him to put up similar numbers despite the thread on the wheels.

LeBron James’ tank isn’t running empty yet

LeBron James admitted that he doesn’t have long before he hangs up his jersey. After more than two decades of basketball, he isn’t what he used to be but remains a formidable force. Playing with his son Bronny James should give him an extra boost.

The Olympics in Paris are a big indicator that James’ tank isn’t running empty yet. On a handful of occasions, he carried a team featuring Kevin Durant, Steph Curry, Anthony Edwards, Joel Embiid and other NBA superstars. If the LA Lakers' support cast does its part, James should remain effective.

LeBron James was named the tournament MVP in limited minutes in Paris and backed up by a glittering All-Star crew. He won't have that luxury when he leads the Lakers next season.

Lakers GM Rob Pelinka brought back largely the same roster that went out in the first round of the playoffs last season. Pelinka also hired a new coach who sorely lacks in experience.

LeBron James’ tank isn’t empty, but the Lakers’ situation could mean another disappointing, championship-less campaign for the legend.
