“Drug test this man"- Fans stunned by Kevin Garnett putting Bradley Beal in MVP talks 

Kevin Garnett showed faith in the Phoenix Suns’ star and three-time NBA All-Star Bradley Beal. Garnett spoke about why people should watch out for the Suns, which, despite having Beal, Devin Booker, and Kevin Durant last season, still lost in the first round against the Minnesota Timberwolves via sweep.

Speaking on “KG Certified” with Paul Pierce, Garnett projected the Suns as one of the top contending teams in the coming NBA season, believing that their top players will be enough for them to finally have a deep push.

"Devin Booker can be an MVP, you know what I'm saying?" Garnett said while talking to Pierce. "(Bradley) Beal, he can be an MVP. These guys, they got it bro. And you got KD (Kevin Durant)."

Fans were skeptical about Garnett’s beliefs, questioning the former Boston Celtics star on his rationale, following a disappointing last season for Beal, who only played 53 games and averaged 18.2 points per game, her lowest scoring average since 2015-16.

“Someone needs to drug test this man. He been saying all kinda bs this week 😭,” said one fan.

“Beal can be an MVP after he averaged 15ppg 😭. These old heads really don’t watch ball at all man,” said another fan.

“Will Bradley Beal even be an all star?😭😭😭😭,” said one fan.

Meanwhile, other fans disagreed with Garnett’s belief that the Suns could contend, citing numerous factors such as their lack of depth and questionable roster construction.

“The team isn’t built well. Their 3 stars can’t really defend much and have extensive injury history... Too many holes to be a real contender in today’s NBA,” said one fan.

“KD, D Book, Bradley Beal, & Suns got swept last year! They have to earn our respect back! 😤,” said another fan.

“That team is nothing but 2 shot chuckers and KD,” said a fan.

The Suns finished sixth in last season’s Western Conference standings with a 49-33 record.

Kevin Garnett thinks Booker and Durant’s Team USA stint can help Beal and Phoenix Suns

Kevin Garnett added that Devin Booker and Kevin Durant's success with Team USA in the 2024 Paris Olympics could help Beal and the Suns in their quest for Phoenix’s first-ever NBA championship.

“They got two superstars that played this summer. That means something,” Garnett said in the same show. "That means they're in rhythm, I'm telling you, bro, Phoenix is going to be better than what most [people think]."

When asked if the team can win more than 47 games like last season, Garnett expressed his confidence about the team’s chances. However, he did not say anything about their championship odds.

“They're gonna be a plus-47 to me. And then, you got health with everybody. So, guess what? You still gotta have these young teams develop and be together.”

Currently, the Suns have the 11th-best odds to win the NBA championship next year at +3500. They are behind the Los Angeles Lakers and the Golden State Warriors.
