Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker responded to fans claiming that he took a shot at Bronny James during a preseason game against the LA Lakers. After a video made the rounds on X (formerly Twitter) and was liked by over 50,000 people, the guard sent a message to those spreading misinformation.

Booker wrote '50k of y'all need help,' referring to the number of users who liked the video up until that point. Footage shows Bronny missing a shot and then the camera turns to Booker, but the person recording the video tried to read the veteran's lips and came up with the phrase 'he's just not good.'

This game was extremely entertaining, as it needed overtime to define the winner, with the Lakers taking the 128-122 win behind Anthony Davis and rookie Dalton Knecht scoring 70 points combined.

Booker led the Suns scoring-wise with 22 points while grabbing three rebounds and dishing two assists. Bronny James scored four points and grabbed two boards in 17 minutes of action.

It's true that Bronny James has been held to a certain standard by plenty of fans and analysts, but NBA players appear to be supportive and not turning their back on him.

The Suns finished their preseason with a 3-2 record before starting a season where they'll try to win the ring with Mike Budenholzer as their new head coach.

Jaylen Brown was accused of criticizing Bronny James months before Devin Booker

Devin Booker isn't the only NBA star accused of criticizing Bronny James. In July, Boston Celtics star and 2024 NBA Finals MVP Jaylen Brown attended a Summer League game where the 20-year-old guard played.

He was caught by the cameras seemingly saying that he didn't think Bronny was a pro and insisting that he didn't think the player would go to the G League because of his father's influence within the franchise.

Brown clapped back at that notion, hyping up Bronny and saying he was excited to see his evolution in the league.

“It’s a flex to have your son alongside you in the nba it reflects greatness and longevity !Bronny has all the tools around him to be successful, I look forward to watching his growth.”

Now, Devin Booker is the subject of criticism and just like Brown, he wasn't having any of that.
